XPV Summer Intern

Position Overview:

This role offers hands-on experience in private equity, including market research, financial analysis, and deal execution, with opportunities to apply AI tools to improve research, analysis, and presentation workflows. You will work closely with experienced professionals in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment, contributing to real decisions while developing core analytical and professional skills.

Responsibilities:

Interns will be working on specific projects which may include but are not limited to:

  • Conducting market research and financial analysis to evaluate potential investment opportunities.
  • Supporting deal execution and due diligence, including preparation of investment and internal decision materials.
  • Developing presentation materials such as investment memos and analyses.
  • Leveraging AI tools to enhance efficiency, improve insights, and elevate the quality of outputs across all projects.
  • Contributing to additional firm-wide projects and ad hoc initiatives as assigned.

Experience & Education:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate post-secondary program.
  • Strong academic performance (GPA above 3.00+).
  • Participation in extracurricular activities.
  • Previous internship experience in private equity, investment banking or a similar space and/or experience in financial modelling considered an asset.

  • AI enabled and technologically proficient.
  • Curious self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear communicator with strong organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated interest in private equity and the water sector.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
