Don Olson Joins MOBILTEX as New Director of Business Development

Calgary, Alberta, Canada – MOBILTEX, a leading provider of innovative IIoT hardware and software solutions for cathodic protection and pipeline integrity remote monitoring within a broad range of industrial and municipal markets, is delighted to announce the appointment of Don Olson to the role of Director of Business Development.

In this role Don will work with the MOBILTEX team to develop regional strategies and support initiatives for client management and acquisition and will be focused on broadening our US market presence.

Don brings decades of experience to the MOBILTEX team and is highly respected in the corrosion industry, not only through leveraging his deep technical knowledge towards solving complex challenges in the field but also his dedication to the advancement of corrosion education by volunteering countless hours in the presentation of training courses and seminars.

Don annually presents ten to fifteen rectifier training courses to various AMPP Chapters, Area Conferences and other organizations across North America and has taught thousands of CP professionals over the years.

Don has held numerous roles within the industry’s top organizations, including most recently with IRT Integrated Rectifier Technologies, as well as CorrPro, MESA Products, and Honeywell/Mercury Instruments.

Don’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Minor in Geology from Chadron State College in Nebraska. As an active member of AMPP (formally NACE) for thirty-nine years, Don has provided leadership to two sections, the Central Area, and was involved at the National level of AMPP by serving on the Policy Committee. Don was also the proud recipient of the 2004 and 2017 Eben Junkin Award from the NACE Central Area, and the 2006 NACE Distinguished Service Award.

In his spare time Don enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, golfing, and playing softball. He is also an avid outdoorsman and likes to get out camping, hunting and fishing whenever possible.
